Vail Ski Resort Announces 2023-24 Opening Day
Soon, one of Colorado’s premium resorts will open its terrain to skiers and snowboarders
Vail Resorts has announced that, dependent on weather conditions, 2023-24 access to some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the state will become accessible on November 10. Vail Ski Resort, founded in 1962, features acclaimed skiing and snowboarding on 5,289 acres of breathtaking terrain.
Public transportation, alongside services offered by area accommodations, help visitors get on and off the slopes with ease. There are several accommodations to choose from that give skiers and snowboarders the ability to walk from their room to the chairlift. Most offer ski valet services, storing your equipment when not in use and having it ready to go when you are.
Ski-in, ski-out accommodations include:
Lion Square Lodge
Near the Eagle Bahn Gondola (#19) and Born Free Express (#8), Lion Square Lodge offers a wide range of rooms and spacious retreats for six. Included is free parking, hot tubs for après ski relaxation, complimentary ski valet, rental gear discounts, and grocery delivery for a nominal fee. Some available condo accommodations come with a full kitchen to prepare your own meals.
Lodge Tower
The Lodge is near Gondola One (#1) and features one- to three-bedroom condos for up to 10 people. Complimentary on-mountain ski valet services are available in addition to covered on-site parking. Courtesy breakfast and snacks—think après-ski cookies—are a perk for guests.
Manor Vail Lodge
Located near the Riva Bahn Express Lift (#6), this lodge is one of Vail Village’s most iconic. Offering studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom condos alongside a luxury penthouse, the Lodge offers options for everyone. Amenities include heated pools, a fitness facility with Peloton bikes, a spa, restaurants, and complimentary après ski hot chocolate.
These additional choices offering splurge-worthy accommodations that, while not technically considered ski-in, ski-out, are close to the slopes and provide ski valet and storage services.
Gravity Haus
Near Gondola One (#1) and located along the Gore Creek, this scenic mountain spot is just a few steps away from Bridge Street, which is populated with shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Don’t miss their Dryland Spa for post-ski recovery therapies and luxurious body treatments.
The Arrabelle at Vail Square
Old World Bavarian charm is the calling card of this resort nestled in the heart of Lionshead Village. Amenities include equipment storage, slope side ski valet services, an ice-skating rink, and the RockResorts Spa.
